The one thing you should never do as a real estate investor buying your property in your own personal name And if you do buy it in your personal name transfer it over to the LLC as soon as possible Too many people rely on insurance alone But insurance should be your first line of defense your LLC should be your backstop in case the insurance isn’t there for whatever reason The insurance may not be there or it may be insufficient after all that 1 million dollar policy can only take you so far So my advice is never put a piece of property in your personal name
