Its More Than Just Documents…

It’s actually one of my pet peeves. A lot of people think that this is what we do. We just bang out a bunch of docs and that’s not what we do. That’s part of what we do, but our main job, or your security’s attorney, the main job of your security’s attorney is to make sure that you’re raising the capital in full compliance with state and federal securities laws. That’s their job. It’s a compliance thing. And your attorney has all of these potential blind minds in the back of their head and they may not use them all the time, but they’re constantly reviewing your deal to make sure, hey, are they acting as this? Are they doing this wrong? Are they doing that wrong? But the documents are obviously a part of it, probably a third of what we do, but knowing what to put into that and understanding your deal is really the crux of what we do.
