Advertising with 506C
Now you can go on social media, you can go on Facebook, you can take an ad out in the Super Bowl, you can go to your blimp, you can scream from the top of the mountain that you have a deal, 100-unit apartment building, I’m looking for a million dollars, blah, blah, blah. You can advertise. This is where my pet peeve comes in, because then people get carried away and they’re like posting on social media, and I’m like, okay, you still have to worry about the anti-fraud provisions, so you can’t go cop lunch. But generally speaking, I can now go on social media, I can go on a podcast, we talked earlier about podcasts, knock yourself out, do all the kind of stuff that you want to do, because you are allowed to do it under 506c. Paradoxically, I think that’s the right word I’m looking for, this is still a private offering, it’s a private exemption. We’re not going public, but we are allowed to advertise to the public.
